I have dedicated my career to the intersection of AI, Trust, and Leadership, blending deep technical expertise with strategic industry experience across Europe and the U.S. while building and leading high-performance global teams.

My journey began in Spain, where I studied Computer Science while simultaneously working on early neural network applications to detect fraudulent payments for Visa in the early 2000s. Driven by a passion for new technologies, I moved to Germany as a research assistant to continue my PhD, which ultimately led me to earn two doctorates: one in Information Retrieval (in Spain) and another focused on AI and Agent-based Trust (in Germany). My research contributions include over 100 publications and patents, with more than 3,000 citations (Google Scholar and Patents), participation in international research projects, co-organizing top research conferences and workshops, as well as regularly advising the European Commission and Spain’s National Project Evaluation Agency (ANEP) on technology and research strategy.

Transitioning into industry, I built a diverse career spanning applied research, consulting, and technology leadership across Europe. At Telefónica Research, I focused on applied AI for one of the world’s largest telecom companies. At Deloitte, I worked in strategic consulting, advising CxOs and shaping corporate strategies for top European firms. I later led AI and data-driven technology initiatives at XING, a major European career-oriented social network.

My leadership and technology expertise deepened in the U.S. at two of the most influential technology companies. At Facebook/Meta, I held senior leadership roles in Ads and Reality Labs, applying AI to integrity, privacy, and consumer devices. Currently, at LinkedIn, I focus on Trust, Privacy, and Responsible AI, combining hands-on engineering with strategic leadership to tackle some of the most critical challenges in keeping the platform trusted, safe, and professional.

Beyond my core roles, I frequently speak at research and industry events and currently advise companies in both the U.S. and Europe. Additionally, I am deeply committed to mentoring and coaching senior leaders, as well as delivering specialized training and consulting services.
